Meeting minutes:

A meeting of the Board of Directors for the Nowland Homeowners Association was held on July 9th at 7:00pm in the township Lower Level 1 meeting room. In attendance were Rob Garzaniti, Terry Krieg, Laura McGhee, Jim Mettlach, and Dan Sugg. Karen Linnen, Mike Riley, Deb Schoenborn, John Slominski, and Soraya Nowland were absent.

The following items were discussed:

Subdivision Directory
The updated Subdivision Directory will be distributed by the end of July.

Sprinkler Maintenance
Three sprinkler heads, and the timing gears for the Sheldon Road system were fixed during June/July at a cost of $245.

Subdivision Landscaping /Beautification
The common area berms were re-mulched and flowers planted in mid-June at a cost of $2400. Some perennials were substituted for annuals, decreasing the number of flowers planted at each entrance. Thanks to the Landscaping Committee for soliciting bids and working with the contractors to get the work done.

The dead trees in the common areas will be removed at a cost of $450.

The sinkhole in the common area on Nowland Court will be investigated and appropriate action taken.

The only signs allowed at the subdivision entrances should be for the subdivision garage sale, subdivision functions, and professional open house signs. All other signs will be removed.

The newly re-mulched berms will be sprayed for weeds during July, and as needed in the future, to maintain a neat appearance.

1999 landscaping plans will include a discussion to have rocks placed at the bottom of the Palmer Road detention plans.

Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions Violations
Per the bylaws, homeowners are not allowed to park RV's, boats, campers, etc. in driveways for more than 48 hours.

Architectural / Covenant and Restriction Review Committee
Additional letters will be sent through the end of July. Homeowners will be given 10 business days to respond in writing , otherwise, they will have 30 days to correct the problem.

Monthly Meetings
The Board of Directors will be holding a monthly meeting on the second Thursday of every month through the end of 1998 at 7:00 in the Township lower level 1 meeting room. Any homeowner is welcomed to attend.
